Robert Gionet Obituary

GIONET, ROBERT GENE, 60, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at his residence after battling lung cancer. He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and Pope John XXIII 2007, 2008. He was retired from American Standard. His favorite place of residence was Volusia County, FL. Mr. Gionet was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Marie Gionet; and grandparents, Oscar and Amy Burke. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Gionet; daughters, Lisa Langley, Laura Gionet Skidmore; sister, Sharon Keith; grandson, Rick Skidmore; stepchildren, Karen Cushing, Donna McCoy and Wayne Hall. His funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy., with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be private. A celebration of life will be held following the burial in the Casper Center at St. Rita. Arch L. Heady & Son, Okolona, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hosparus.
