Robert Tinnell Obituary

TINNELL, ROBERT L. "BOBBY" SR., 59, passed away unexpectedly at University Hospital-Cincinnati, OH, ten days after a successful liver transplant.

He was the most loving, caring, genuine, compassionate and patient man and would do anything for anyone. He loved his family, cats (Sport, Annabelle and Toni) and grand dogs (Jewels, Jackson, Rocky, Bisquit and Bella).

He was born December 20, 1951 in Louisville to Charles E. and Gladys Stettler Tinnell. He worked construction until forced to quit in 2001 due to health reasons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James Tinnell and Paul Tinnell Sr.; and sisters-in-law, Rhoda Tinnell and Pat Tinnell.

Survivors include his beloved wife and soul mate, Mary Anne (Middleton) Tinnell; two daughters, Michelle Renae Tinnell Perry (Eric) and Jessica Michele James; two sons, Robert L. Tinnell II (Beth) and Evan L. James. His surviving siblings are Carl Tinnell Sr., Randy Tinnell Sr. (both of Louisville) and Sandy Cotton (Robert) of Georgia; grandchildren, Justin DeSilvey, Mitchell Tinnell and Paityn Tinnell; and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Middleton of Mt. Pleasant, IN and sisters-in-law, Michele Middleton of Nashville, TN and Aline Tinnell. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bobby, in his selfless way, was able to touch 111 lives through organ/tissue donation.

A memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 4335 Hazelwood Ave. A celebration of his life will be at Lakeside Reflections, 617 Brown Forman Rd. in Jeffersonville, IN on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.

God speed our beloved Bobby.

Dear Tinnell Family,
I know it's going to be hard to move on in life with such a huge loss. Bobby was such a loving husband, a wonderful helpful father and a much loved Pop-pa. He touched so many lives in the time he spent here with us. He was such a strong positive man, no matter what his condition was. He always greeted everyone with a smile. I know there is nothing we can do to help ease the pain, but our deepest sympathy and many prayers go out to your family and close friends.
