Rev. Roger G. Imhoff Jr.

IMHOFF, REV. ROGER G. JR., 73,of Great Barrington, MA, formerly of Louisville, died on Sunday, January 29, 2012, after battling cancer.

Roger was born Nov. 30, 1938, in Keokuk, IA, son of the Rev. Roger G. Imhoff, Sr. and Virginia Milner Imhoff.

His love of tennis began in high school where he was runner-up in Kentucky's State High School Tournament in 1956 for Shawnee High School. He was president of his Senior Class. He went on to Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio where he played tennis and was president of his Freshman Class. He graduated in 1960, and earned his Theological M.Div. from Hamma Divinity School at Wittenberg in 1964. He was ordained as a Lutheran Pastor in 1964. Throughout his ministry Roger served ELCA congregations in Indiana, New York and Connecticut. While retired he was an active member of Christ Church Episcopal - Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheffield, MA.

Roger leaves three brothers, Charles and David of Florida and Stephen of Louisville; and a sister, Virginia Simpson of Florida. His wife, Carol Robin Imhoff, predeceased in 2009. He was stepfather to Robin's five children, Laurie Werner, John Moroz, Andrew Moroz, Lisa Moroz and Susanna Sweeney. Roger and Robin had eight grandchildren.
