Ruth Knopf Obituary

KNOPF, RUTH D., 94, a resident of Sacred Heart Village, passed away Saturday, August 20 2011, at Baptist Hospital East.

Born in Louisville, she was the former Ruth Rickert and was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Wildwood Country Club and longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford A. Knopf Sr. and her five siblings.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Clifford A. "Kip" Knopf Jr. (Cheryl), Paul A. Knopf Sr. (Paula), Judge Thomas J. Knopf (Stefanie), and Christopher J. Knopf (Karen); eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A private Mass will be held for her with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 3-8 p.m. at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Mass of the Air.

Paula,i don't know if you remember me,i was boarding at Iron gate stables back in the eighties,i had Toledo that i bought from Bobby? anyway,i wanted to tell you how sorry i am to hear of your Mothers passing, it always hurts to lose someone but its much harder when its a parent.You were always such a nice person, my thoughts and prayers are with you,you will see her again, hold on to that thought,she had to be a very sweet lady to raise a Daughter like you, please accept my sincere sympathy as i know how hard it was to lose my Dad, Edie Nichols
