Siddy O'Sullivan

Ashland - Siddy O'Sullivan, age 90, of Ashland, Kentucky, died peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on December 20, 2020.

Siddy graduated from high school at 16; instead of going to college, she went to work and gave her paychecks to her parents. She later worked at Loyola University Chicago, where she provided the educational opportunities for her children that she had been denied. You couldn't find a better person to talk with, especially if it was late at night around the kitchen table. She had recently moved to Waddy, Kentucky, where she divided her time between bird watching and viewing photos and videos of her grandchildren.

Siddy is survived by her son Joseph and his wife, Amanda, of Waddy; son John and his wife, Amanda, of Plainfield, Illinois: son Dennis and his wife, Kate Taylor, of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren Nora, Hannah, Delaney, Aiden, Darcey, and Jack, and great-granddaughter Loretta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis O'Sullivan, her parents, George and Marietta Skiles, and her brother, George E. Skiles.

No formal service is planned. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hosparus Health of Louisville.

I taught her piano many years ago. She gave me yogurt covered pretzels one Christmas and I got hooked lol. A sweet lady, may she rest in peace.
