Shelbyville - Stacey Layne Nichols passed away suddenly at age 58 on January 2, 2021 at her home in Tucson, Arizona.

She was a graduate of Shelby County High School in Shelbyville, Kentucky and Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Shelbyville. Stacey was a real estate agent with Long Realty Company. She enjoyed many different adventures in her life. She loved to scuba dive, parasail, travel, play golf, and she even parachuted from a plane. She was kind, compassionate, fun loving, energetic and industrious.

Stacey has left her family and friends too soon. Her survivors are her father, Doyle Nichols of Heathrow, Florida; her mother, Mary Lloyd Farmer of Shelbyville, Kentucky; her sister, Robin Nichols Roberts (Gene) of Heathrow, Florida; her brother, Grant Nichols (Kim) of Louisville, Kentucky; her step sisters, Kathy Jenkins of Louisville, Kentucky and Elizabeth Martin (Gene), also of Louisville. She had a wonderful extended family of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends. She was a blessing to all of us.

Celebration of Life service will be 4:00 P.M. Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until service time.

Expressions of sympathy may be made Shelbyville First Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I was very saddened to learn of Stacey's passing. She was a co-worker and friend, and offered assistance to me numerous times in my real estate business. She will be missed.
