I worked very closely with Steve as we were blending the NOSL and NSWC teams on the Aegis program during the late 80's and early 90's. Steve was always a pleasure to work with. He had a beautiful smile and a calm logical approach to the problems we faced. As well as a co-worker he was my friend and one of my idols. At NSWC,Dahlgren I am not alone in saying that I will miss him. I send my condolences to his family of whom he spoke frequently.

Steve had gone to Lemon-Monroe High School our freshman and sophmore years and he was in most of my classes. I always remember his friendly attitude. He was one of my
favorite people. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I am employed at NSWC, Dahlgren, VA and worked with Steve on the Guns Program back in the 1990's. Steve will be remembered as a kind and gentle person who was a great pleasure to work with. I am sure the professional community of which he was a part will miss him greatly.
May it bring you great comfort to know how his co-workers felt about him.

I am a former AEGON co-worker of Angie's and a current friend and co-worker of Valerie Cooley. From my many conversations with Valerie, I feel that I know Steve and their 3 sons as well. What a wonderful family you have!! Steve seemed to be a very strong man with a wonderful desire for life. I am sure he leaves behind many wonderful memories for all who knew him.
I have even shed a few tears myself while listening and attempting to comfort Valerie.
I am sure Steve will hold a special place in Heaven and will someday meet with his family again. Atleast, the pain is now gone for him.
I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers as you head down this lonely path without him.
