Thelma Weiss Obituary
Born in Monongahela, PA, in 1915, Thelma graduated from Monongahela High School. She studied piano in Boston, after which she joined an All-Girl Band in the 1930's, traveling the East Coast and appearing on radio. She is the wife of the late Judge David H. Weiss of Monessen, Penna.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelly and husband, Dr. Kenneth Zegart of Louisville, KY, daughter, Janis Baron and husband Harvey Harrison of Andover, MA and son Jay and wife, Ellen of Miami, FL; grandchildren include Terri Seltz (Eric Seltz) of Louisville, KY, Dr. Amy Zegart (Craig Mallery) of Pacific Palisades, CA, Lee Baron of Tempe, AZ, Dr. Andrew Baron,(Bethany Michel) of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Debra Weiss, of Gainesville, FL; and five great-grandchildren, Alex, Jack and Kate Mallery, Timothy Seltz and James Harrison Baron.
The family requests that donations be made to Temple Beth Am,120 Prosser Drive, Monongahela, PA, 15063 or to the Andover Senior Center, 36 Bartlet Street, Andover MA, 01810 .
A memorial and burial service will take place in Pennsylvania.
