Thomas J. Dunn

DUNN, THOMAS J., 92, of Louisville, and formerly of Warwick, Narragansett and South Kingstown, RI, died peacefully on February 24, 2013, in Louisville.

He was the husband of the late Kathleen M. (Clemens) Dunn, and companion of Norma Knight of Louisville.

Born in Wilmette, IL, a son of the late John E. and Lucille (Condon) Dunn, he lived in Rhode Island for most of his life, and was a part-time resident of Louisville for the last 15 years.

A graduate of Bryant College, he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in Fairbanks, AK.

The nephew of the great jazz musician Eddie Condon, he also shared the family talent for music and was an accomplished drummer during and after his years in the Air Corps.

He worked for 45 years as a jewelry designer and manufacturer's representative for Plastic Craft (P Craft) in Attleboro, MA.

He was the brother of the late John E. Dunn, Jr. and Robert C. Dunn.

He is survived by three daughters, Mary K. Dunn (Thomas P. Dunn) of Bristol, RI, Susan E. Dunn of Warwick, RI, and Margaret C. Dunn (James Rheinberger) of Rehoboth, MA; two sons, Thomas J. Dunn, Jr. (Valerie) of Saunderstown, RI, and James C. Dunn (Annie Schmitt) of Davis, CA.; a sister, Jane Anne Deignan of Vermont; a granddaughter, Brittany A. Dunn; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral was held March 1, 2013 from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul Church, One St. Paul Place, Cranston, RI. Burial with military honors was in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
