Dracut

He was born in Lowell on April 26, 1936, and was a son of the late Irene (Boisjolie) and Odessa Lavallee. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Lowell. Al proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Prior to his retirement, Al had a life long career in banking. He was employed for over 20 years with the Washington Savings Bank, where his roles included; Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Operating Officer.

His greatest joy however, was spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren play sports. Al also enjoyed sitting on the back deck watching the birds, having a cigar or smoking tobacco out of his pipe, reading and vacationing in York, ME and Newfound Lake.

In addition to his wife, Al is survived and will be deeply missed by his daughter, Suzanne of Dracut; his son, Paul of Dracut; his three grandchildren, Edwin, Gregory and Angela (Hand) Ingalls and her husband Jason; his three great-grandchildren, Liliana, Elijah and Josette; his brother-in-law, Robert Rivet and his wife Evelyn of Marion, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dear Jeanne and Family;

So sorry to hear of your loss with Al's passing. He was a great Banking Mentor to me @ Lowell Bank & Trust Company, where I started as a Teller in 1970, while in my Senior year @ Lowell Technological Institute. Thanks to Al, I enjoyed a 50+ year in Banking! Please think of all the good times that you and Al shared with your Family; that will help to bring a smile to your face! My sincere sympathy and deepest condolences to all of you.

Sincerely,
Richard Hanlon
