Alice Foley Obituary

Alice M. Foley of Chelmsford, formerly of Quincy; 95 CHELMSFORD Alice M. (McQuade) Foley, 95, of Chelmsford, formerly of Quincy and Sandwich, died on October 25, 2007, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford. Born in Boston, Alice attended St. Peter's School and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School in 1931. Upon her graduation from Boston Clerical School in 1933, Alice worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Department of Public Works on Nashua Street in Boston. Alice married her husband, James, in 1941 and they resided in Dorchester before moving to Quincy in 1951. Alice was employed as a secretary for the Chief's Office of the Quincy Police Department for 10 years. Alice was an active parishioner of Saint Mary's Church in West Quincy where she was a member of the Lady's Sodality, Guild and Bowling League. Beloved wife of the late James J. Foley. Mother of James J. Foley, Jr. of Hingham, Gerard P. Foley of Bradford, and Maryalice Lowthers of Westford. Alice is also survived by three grandchildren, Patrick, Kevin and Kathleen Foley. FOLEY Alice M. (McQuade), 95, Oct. 25. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Crescent St., W. Quincy on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne, 1:30 PM. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave. MILTON, Monday, 4-8PM. For information and directions, www.dolanfuneral.com
