Charles O'Connell Obituary

Charles P. O'Connell of Wilmington, formerly of Billerica Wilmington Mr. Charles P. O'Connell, age 66, of Wilmington, formerly of Billerica, died unexpectedly on July 11, 2008, after a long battle with heart disease. Charlie was the beloved husband of the late Ann (Smith) O'Connell, who died on February 10, 2008. He was born on May 17, 1942, the son of the late Thomas J. & Alice (Hannon) O'Connell. He was also the step-son of the late Harriet L. O'Connell. Mr. O'Connell was a truck driver for most of his life until his illness forced his retirement. He enjoyed playing lottery tickets and spending time with his family and friends. Charlie was a wonderful man who was content just being with his family and friends. He is survived by three sisters and their husbands, Patty and Neil Dooley of Billerica, Ruth Couture and Rose and Robert Langlois all of Lowell, two brothers, Joseph O'Connell of Billerica and William O'Connell of Laguna Niguel, California, his son Charles P. O'Connell, Jr. & his wife Deanna, grandsons Michael, Joseph, Steven, & Devin O'Connell all of Woburn. Charlie leaves many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, he is also survived by his sister-in-law Virginia Drohan of Wilmington, his step-children Brian and Terry Mohr of Tyngsboro, Karen Lahaire of Florida, Jean-Paul Ouellette, Steven Ouellette, and Donna Mercier all of Lowell. Mr. O'Connell was also brother of the late Mary A. Stirling, Thomas J. "Tucker" O'Connell, Jr., and Francis E. "Mike" O'Connell and brother-in-law of the late Richard Couture. O'CONNELL Charles P., 66, of Wilmington, formerly of Billerica, died unexpectedly on July 11, 2008, after a long battle with heart disease. Charlie was the beloved husband of the late Ann (Smith) O'Connell, who died on February 10, 2008. Funeral services will be held at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Friday, July 25th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in the family lot at Fox Hill Cemetery in Billerica. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, July 24th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Memorial donation's in Charlie's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
