Daniel Cecere Obituary
He was born in Stoneham, Nov. 6, 1983, son of Bruce A. and Laurel S. (Barnes) Cecere of Chelmsford. He graduated from Westford Academy in 2002. He was currently enrolled with University of Massachusetts Lowell, in their science program.
He was a member of Grace Community Church of Chelmsford, where he was formerly a member of the Worship Team.
Mr. Cecere was self-employed as a guitar instructor.
He was a member of the Maelstrom Band and Seduce the Enemy Band, both of Chelmsford. He enjoyed music, composing more than 100 songs, family members said.
In his youth, he belonged to Cub Scout Pack 70 of Chelmsford, Chelmsford Little League, and Chelmsford Youth Soccer.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Amanda Cecere, a senior at Chelmsford High School; a brother David Cecere of Boston; his paternal grandmother, Sue Cecere of Bedford; his maternal grandfather and his maternal step-grandmother, Frank A. Barnes and Emma Jean Hebb-Barnes of Weston; two aunts and an uncle, Marilyn A. Barnes of Worcester, and Donna and Ed Cecere of Westford.

Dear Cecere's,
I regret not knowing Dan better than I had, but the time I did spend with him I will never forget. The news came as an extreme shock, and any words offered I am sure will never compensate for the loss you are now enduring. Dan will be missed by everyone he has touched.

Dear Bruce, Lauri, Amanda and David,
We are so very sorry to hear of Daniels passing. Watching our children growing up with yours in the neighborhood was so wonderful and we truly cherish the time we lived on Jonathan Lane. Daniel was so special, we remember getting one of his first CD's and thinking how much talent he had. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

My condolences go out to the entire Cecere Family.
I didn't know Dan a long time, But the time I spent with Dan was 1 on 1 (I was his trainer) He was Very talented & had a bright future. I was shocked to hear of his passing,
I know Dan is in a better place now & may his family's faith in God, help them through this difficult time.

To the Cecere family,
John and I were so saddened to hear of your loss of Dan. It is the most difficult moment for a parent. John's mother lost her daughter, son- in- law and their two year old daughter in a car accident. Thank God for his Love and Grace.
It is through that Love, we gain strength and comfort at times like this.Praise Him--we will be together again and sing right along with Dan. We are prayig for you all.

Dan and I knew each other in high school, we graduated in the same class. I have heard him perform more than once. He was intelligent and very talented. My favorite song he ever wrote was Twisted Tea.

To the Cecere family-We were shocked to hear of Dan's passing. Our 3 sons all knew him and how talented he was. Dan drove our son home when he was stranded one time,which was greatly appreciated. He will surely be missed.

This is one of the most difficult events that a parent will ever have to endure. Ray has witnessed it personally through the loss of his brother (23) in 1976. His mother was broken hearted. Dan was a very special person and like no one else I had ever met. He dated my best friend Kate and we used to all spend a lot of time together. He was such an amazing musician and his music will live on.

I am truly at a loss for words here, but i must try to say something. Dan was easily one of the most gifted, kind and talented people i've ever met. We will all miss him so very much. He and i were very excited about some upcoming opportunities for his music. This is a tragic loss to not just all his friends and family, but the entire music world. Dans'music will live on forever. God must have needed him there. My Prayers are with he and his family and friends now.

I am extremely saddened by your loss. I've known Dan since middle school and we also attended UMASS Lowell together. He was in one of my classes last year and came in to Hannaford a lot.. everytime he saw me, he always asked about my life and what was going on. He was a sweet kid and will be fondly missed

To the entire Cecere family, My heart and sould pours out empathy to you all. We have in this family all come to know and love Danny. He has been at our house over the years, nd we adored him. My son Joshua called us late last night apologizing for the lateness, desparate to talk with Dannys family, e=and again express his deepest condoloences, Jon goes to school with Amanda, and is so sad, and as you know Dannys extreme music talent was shared for quite a while with our son Jeffrey, so Please know that we cant bring Danny back, but truly we are all so very sorry for you tragic loss, and wish there were something that we could do, and will continue our prayers, Fro Danny, and you his family.
