lifelong resident of Dracut; 42
DRACUT -- David M. Annis, age 42, a lifelong resident of Dracut, passed at home unexpectedly July 13, 2017. For 20 years he was the beloved husband of Amy Marchand.
He was born in Lowell on January 16, 1975, beloved son of Charles & Roberta (Magee) Annis of Dracut. David attended the Lowell Vocational School and graduated from Dracut High Class of 1993. He went on to earn his Associate's Degree in Mental Health from Middlesex Community College and then earned a Bachelor's Degree in Law Enforcement from Western New England College.
David served in the US Navy from 1993 until 1995 as an Aviation Electrician and was stationed in Japan.
David worked as an EMT for Trinity for several years before his appointment as a Lowell Police Officer serving the City from 1996 until 2011, attaining the rank of detective. During his law enforcement career he assisted at the Lowell Police Academy training 1st responders in CPR. He then went into business for himself operating Annis & Sons Home Services. He also worked in sales at Lannan Mazda, and the Toy Store in Salem, NH.
Outside of work Dave loved family gatherings, yearly vacations to Florida, boating at Lake Winnipesaukee, and motorcycles.
Besides his wife, Amy, and Parents, Charles & Roberta, he is survived by his son, Frankie Trzcienski (Annis); his daughter, Paige Annis, both of Dracut; his sisters, Melissa Annis of Dracut and Kerri Lanier of Pelham, NH; his paternal grandmother, Barbara Annis of Chelmsford; several nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family; many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Doris (McCabe) Magee and Francis Magee; and paternal grandfather Frederick Annis.
ANNIS -- Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Friday July 21, 2017, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. A prayer service will take place during visitation. Interment will be private. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorials to the Dracut American Legion to benefit the Town of Dracut Veterans Services, 951 Mammoth Rd., Dracut, MA 01826. Please visit online memorial at LaurinFuneralHome.com.

Deepest condolences to the Annis Families..Dave was in my class @ MCC and did our internship together at Lowell House..he was a kind soul with a lot of empathy for those less fortunate..I was shocked to learn of his passing...RIP Dave!

My heart aches for Amy, Frankie and Paige. Dave left us all to young. Dave will be remembered for his service for our country and his service as a fine police officer for 10 years. He left us helping so so many people. He will be remembered for his kind heart, great sense of humor, his strong spirit, and mostly his dedication and strong love he had for his family. I will always remember the strong love he had for Amy for 30 years. What a good guy. Thank you Dave for all you did for my family for 23 years. Rest in peace my friend.
