Dear Mrs Antonitis,Andrew,Alex

I am sorry for the loss of Mr.Antonitis. He was a very very great scoutmaster for the little time I was there in troop 81 while he was there. David was a great guy and he had seemed to have fun on out last outing the crabapple white water rafting trip. You are all doing extremely well with the situation so far and I hope you all the best of luck.

Dear Nancy and Family,

I was saddened and shocked to hear that Dave had passed away. I worked for many years with Dave at Intermetrics and AverStar. We worked together on many Volpe TSC proposals. Dave was a dedicated employee, a quality engineer, and a great proposal writer. I hope the great memories you have of Dave will support you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you. With sincere sympathy to all of you.

What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains [and is] immortal. David did more good deeds in 1 year than most people accomplish in a life time. When I first met David back in the late 1980s at Intermetrics, I thought he was cantankerous and aloof. But, as I got to know him --through working closely together in support of numerous proposal efforts at Intermetrics and AverStar-- I learned that (under that tough shell) David was one of the kindest, most honest, smartest, moral and funniest human beings I'd ever met. The good news is that I told him so while he was still alive. Even though we lost contact in the early 2000s (after the company got sold and I left), I never, ever forgot David Antonitis. In fact, I was thinking about David when yesterday I decided to Google "David Antonitis." The search-results provided a hyperlink to an article announcing his death. Needless to say I was devastated. Of course, the link will one day become inactive. But, through his good deeds David Antonitis will forever be linked to our hearts and minds.

To Nancy, Andrew and Alex -
My deepest sympathy goes out to you at this time of great loss. I have come to know Dave through scouting over the past few years (he and I took the OWL training together several years ago). He was a wonderful proponent of scouting and worked diligently at making sure the boys in Pack 81/Troop 81 had trained/qualified instructors and a quality program. He will be missed by many. You remain in my thoughts and prayers. Peace - Kate Torres Pack 107/Troop 75
