David was my friend during our residency at Boston City Hospital. He was a kind leader with a unique aggressive speech pattern accompanied by a kind smile and sparkle in his eyes. I followed him into the practice of general surgery in the Merrimack Valley in Newburyport and Lawrence. David was my role model.

Dr Woo has been a long time friend. Carole worked with him for many years at the former St Johns and I became a friend by our community involvement. Little did we know we would become closer once we shared our retirement years together. We will miss him but will be happy that he is at rest with his brothers and sisters.
Our condolences to his beautiful family.

To the Entire Woo Clan,
I have very happy memories of playing tennis with each of you at Shedd Park. I remember very well how much your father liked tennis and can still see his running after the ball in early evenings when his schedule allowed.
Your father was also very thoughtful and courteous in coming to my mother's wake several years ago.
Finally, your father played a formative part in my knowing that, although Tikki Tikki Tembo-no Sa Rembo-chari Bari Ruchi-pip Peri Pembo fell down the well, he was saved by the quick actions of his little bother Chang.

Dr Woo was always a wonderful doctor and as a nurse, it was a pleasure seeing him each day at the former St. John's Hospital. Always so well respected and revered.
Rest In Peace Dr Woo. You were one of the best.

I knew Dr. Woo from my days as a nurse working at St. Johns, but also as a patient. A remarkable surgeon, a true gentleman and professional. The smile in his picture says it all. Ann Gorski
