She was born in Lowell, June 12, 1927, daughter of the late Arthur Bourgeois and Helen (Tallard) (Bourgeois) Cofran. She attended local schools and graduated from Tewksbury State Hospital School of Nursing.
Mrs. Greenwood was a licensed practical nurse in local nursing homes and retired from Tewksbury State Hospital in 1988.
She is survived by a brother and his wife, Paul and Renie Bourgeois from Lowell; two daughters and brothers-in-law, Paula and James Karlis of Pelham, and Pamela and Kenneth Fierley of Dracut; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Elizabeth Greenwood of Westford; seven grandchildren, James Karlis and his wife, Kim of Buxton, Maine, Gregory Karlis and his wife, Stacey of Fairfield, Wash., Andrew Karlis and his wife, Christine of Litchfield, N.H., Jennifer Jean Fierley and her fiancé, Edward McMahon, both of Dracut, Siobhan Fierley and her fiancé, Daniel Hood, both of Dracut, Elaine Greenwood and her friend, Daniel Cales, both of Manchester, N.H., and Timothy Greenwood and his fiancée, Michelle Smith, both of Merrimack, N.H.; eight great-grandchildren, Abigail, Annabelle and Alison Karlis of Fairfield, Wash., Alexander and Jacob Karlis of Litchfield, N.H., Daniel and Meah Hood of Dracut, and Nevaeh Greenwood of Merrimack, N.H.
She was also the grandmother of the late Kenneth Fierley Jr.

I am sorry for your loss. Dotty was a spit fire and I know that she is up there giving all the angels a run for their money. She will never feel pain again and she will ALWAYS be with you.
