Doris Leary Obituary

Doris B. Leary of North Chelmsford, Devoted Mother; 79 CHELMSFORD Mrs. Doris B. (Marcotte) Leary, 79, of N. Chelmsford, died peacefully on Thursday, November 29, 2007, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Leary Jr., who died November 13, 2005. She was born in Lowell, MA on April 13, 1928, the daughter of the late Eugene and Flore (Rondeau) Marcotte. She was raised in Lowell, and attended St. Joseph School. Before her marriage, Mrs. Leary worked at the Wannalancit Mills in Lowell. After that time, she was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family, raising seven children. Her strong faith and belief in God guided her throughout her life. Mrs. Leary was a member of Mt. Pleasant Golf Club, serving as secretary of the Women's League. She also delivered Meals on Wheels to the senior citizens. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford. She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Norwood of Hudson, NH, Patricia Lawrence and her husband, David of Creve Coeur, Missouri, Deborah and Donna Leary of N. Chelmsford; three sons, Robert Leary of Tewksbury, Michael Leary and his wife, Amy of Pepperell, Mark Leary and his wife, Laura of Nashua, NH; a granddaughter, Julie Lawrence of St. Louis, Missouri; and she was anticipating the birth of a grandson in February. She is also survived by two sisters, Pauline Lemire of Dracut, and Germaine Duffy and her husband, Henry of Lowell; a brother, Eugene Marcotte of Lowell; a sister-in-law, Alice Marcotte of Lowell; many nieces, nephews, and several close friends. She was the sister of the late, Cecile Martin, Georgette Corcoran and Armand Marcotte. LEARY Doris B. (Marcotte) Leary of N. Chelmsford, MA died Nov. 29, 2007. Private Visiting Hours for Family and Relatives are Tues. from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD,MA. Family and Friends are invited to the Funeral Home Wed. at 8:00 a.m. with her Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church North Chelmsford. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chelmsford. For those that wish, contributions in her memory may be made to D'Youville Senior Care, 981 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
