Well Gram, its been a little over a week that you left us. Its been very surreal, and hasnt really sunk in yet. I go to your house every day, sit in your chair and keep Mitty company. I have to get used to the fact that your not there, after having you right there for a life time. Its just very strange going to the "North" and you not being there looking out the window...or every window for that matter haha. I havent gone to the cemetary since you left...I will try and go soon. The kids miss you like crazy. When we were there yesterday, all 5 of them were looking for the lollipop box and for the first time it wasnt there...its the silly things like that, that I get upset over. But, I am gonna suck it up like you would and remember the good times and not dwell on being sad...or try to anyway. I will miss & love you forever, and I hope that you have now turned into the angels you always wore and are looking down watching over us.
Love,
Jenn

Where do I start?

Gram was a wonderful person who treated everyone fairly. She was honest, trustworthy, equal, loyal and like a second mom! She was her own unique individual who made all of us smile. Whether it be telling jokes with her toilet paper gun or embarrassing people by doing her psychic trick with the pie dish..gram always knew how to get us to laugh.

Grams house was a second home to all of us, she always had the door open for whatever we may need....I will never forget all of my sleep overs, playing crocquet in the back yard, playing dress up with her aprons, sneaking up on the bulkhead to scare her in her den window or most of all having a happy healthy grandmother who was 95 years old. I think we all liked to brag about her age and mobility :))) as much as she bragged about her 11 great grandchildren and 12th on the way, she was so proud.....

Gram loved her time up at North Conway being around the water, fresh air and wildlife..and family (oh ya and the out house)...Remember when she decided to dye her hair with her best friend Ester? From white to brown boy did she make a statement but we all know gram did not do things like that to be suddle.....she certainly got attention!!!!

Well....Gram headed back up north Wednesday....watching through the windows of the ambulance recognizing the way, she knew by the exit number she was almost there she said. Finally comfortable again surrounded by love she controlled the situation and let her self go.

We have all been so fortunate to have such a strong women in our lives. My Dad and Uncle who are now in their 60's got to share all of those years with a healthy "independent women" , who else do you know that is 95 purchasing a new vehicle, driving to bingo and making galumpkie!!!!!

I think it is important that we all were able to share every last minute with her while she knew exactly what was going on...Her last words like every other were sincere and certain..Gram was 100% until the end how lucky are we.

Gram is now at peace with herself and most importantly, she is reunited with the love of her life. Grams loyalty has stayed with my grandfather since he passed 30 years ago...when she said until death do us part she truly meant it.....Gram never let Beekies memories hinder and could not wait until the day she would get to see him again.

Selfishly I think we can all say that this incredible, beautiful strong women is missing in our lives but we will all see her again some day too....

I love you so much Gram and miss you more than anything in this world.
Love,
Amy, Dave and the Baby

Dear Sherwood family,
My mother is Carol Bruyere and she recently heard about her best buddy, Dot, passing away. She is extremely saddened and wanted me to extend her sympathies to you. She is unable to be with you as she is now in a nursing home near me. (I am her daughter, Jane). Carol and Dot were great friends; going to bingo and involved in all the church activities that they enjoyed so much. Dot will be missed. She was a very lovely lady, always gentle-spoken and kind hearted. Both my mother and I are very sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Carol Bruyere and Jane Duboff

Don, Bobby and families,

Was saddened to read about the passing of your mother and grandmother. We went to the celebration at N. B. Baptist church last year and we were glad to see her in good spirits and to recall some of the memories about the past. She was a lovely lady and was so proud of her family. Was able to meet one of the granddaughters that day. I'm sure the old neighborhood will miss her.

Dear Sherwood Family, We were very saddened to hear of Mrs Sherwoods passing. She was without a doubt one of the nicest ladies that we have ever had to honor to know. Living across the street from her for 30 years was a delight. All of our thoughts are with you and your family.-Betty Stevens & Family.

To Dorothy's family
I had the privilege of knowing Dot when I lived in Billerica and attended the NBBC and ABC with her. She was a wonderful & inspiring lady and I was saddened to see that she had passed away. Heaven will be a livelier place with her there. My sympathy to you all.

Mrs. Sherwood will be greatly missed in the neighborhood. I will always remember her out walking around the yard making sure everything was in it's place. She always had the car full of friends going to Bingo! I don't live in the area any longer but always got updates from my mother on how Mrs. Sherwood was doing. She lived a great life, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Bob & Liz, Don & Pricilla,
Your Mother was an inspiration for the neighborhood. You would see that car go out every morning to pick up her friends to go here and there and everywhere. She was a wonderfull person.
Your Mother will be missed by many people but I'm sure she and your Father will have many old and new memories to talk about for many years to come.

Gram,
I miss you so much already, even though I know it was time for you to leave us. I'm thankful for having you by my side my entire life, and for you being able to be so strong and healthy all these years, so that Jake and Kyle and Dave got to be as close with you as I was. We have so many great memories throughout the years. You were definatly a role model for me as well as an inspiration. I only hope I can live up to your expectations of me. We all had a long talk yesterday and sharing our funny times with you, I'm sure you heard us and laughed with us. I love you, and I will never forget you.
Your Grandaughter,
Jennifer

Donny & Bobby, your mom was a lovely person and the world a much better place with her in it. May you find comfort in knowing God has called her home and she is now reunited with your dad. Our memories of Aunt Dot are of the lady who enjoyed life, caring, fun and ready for a party. Always, greeting you with a smile, and that smile will forever be missed. Love Jan & Al
