Of Tewksbury
Eugene J. Hanley, Jr. age 72, US Army Vet, Retired U.S. Postal Service Registry Clerk, passed away July 25, 2017. Beloved husband of Stephanie E. (Carino). Son of the late Eugene J. and Mary (Newman) Hanley. Father of Jennifer E. Hanley, of Tewksbury, and Tewksbury Police Officer Eric E. Hanley, along with Katie Waterman, of Chelmsford. Grandfather of Paige Duquette, Anthony Papia, Emma, Aiden, and Ayla Hanley.
Brother of Robert J. Hanley and his late wife Judith of Saratoga Springs, NY, Peter B. Hanley and his wife Sheri, and Susan B. Hanley all of Deerfield Beach, FL. Son-in-law of Edith Barbarossa of Tewksbury and the late John Barbarossa. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Calling hours are Sunday, July 30, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. His funeral will begin on Monday, July 31, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury. Kindly Omit Flowers. Stephanie, Eric and Jennifer - I sad to say I don't know you guys, but I knew your husband/father very well. We grew up together and attended 12 years of school together. I am deeply sorry for your loss. We shared many, many fun "adventures" and I will always be grateful for having known him and for being his friend.
