LOWELL Florence H. (Morris) Dubois, 88, a resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell, died Friday, July 4th, in Lowell, following a year long battle with cancer.
She was the wife of the late Albert H. Dubois who died 1988.
Florence was born in Boston, and lived there until the death of her
mother, Louise Morris.
She was raised in Billerica by her late uncle and late aunt, John and Irene Morris, along with her cousins, Isabel, Janet, Marie, Eleanor, James and William. Florence received her
education in the Billerica School
system before moving to Lowell.
She began her work career in Lowell at McGowan
Educator Company, and later working as a waitress at George's, the Laurier, the Flamingo, and finally at Mt. Pleasant Golf Club.
In addition, Florence was also active in the Marine Corps Auxiliary League during and after the Vietnam War, and also served as the local President.
Florence is survived by a daughter, Heather A. Dubois of California; two sons, Dennis C. Dubois and his wife, Constance of Tyngsborough, and William H. Dubois and Cathleen A. Ribeck of Lowell; eight grandchildren, Jennifer L. Patterson and her husband, Greg of Dracut, William H. Dubois, Jr. and his wife, Lynn of Dracut, Michael C. Dubois and Mary A. Katsikas of Dracut, Catherine A. Dubois of Tyngsborough, Marc C. Dubois and his wife, Tabitha of Dedham, Edward A. Dubois and Matthew D. Dubois of Tyngsborough; three great-grandchildren, Lauren E. Dubois of Tyngsborough,
Andrew J. Dubois of Dracut, and William H. Dubois III of Dracut.
