Formerly of Lowell, MA; 61

DERRY, NH -- Gail L. (Westover) Curley, age 61, of Derry, NH, and former resident of Lowell, MA, passed away on Tuesday, November 26. Gail was the beloved wife of James J. Curley with whom she would have celebrated 41 years of marriage on December 30, 2013.

Gail was born in Lowell, MA in 1952, and was the daughter of the late Herbert H. and Isabelle A. (Aubut) Westover. She attended St. Michael School and Keith Hall in Lowell. Gail worked for 38 years at St. Joseph Hospital and Saints Medical Center of Lowell. Gail was an enthusiastic Scrabble player and enjoyed the challenge of all games. She was an avid sports fan and travelled to attend professional baseball games and tennis and golf tournaments. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family both in the U.S. and abroad. She also worked on her family tree and was a member of the Lowell Genealogy Club, the New England Historical Genealogy Society and the American Canadian Genealogy Society.

Besides her husband, James, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and James O'Brien of Gainesville, VA; her brother-in-law and his wife, Patrick and Evelyn Curley of Andover, MA; her brother-in-law and his wife, Brian and Colleen (Kelly) Curley of Dracut, MA; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Nancy Curley and David Harris of Dracut, MA; an uncle and aunt, Raymond and Carole Aubut of Lowell; many cousins; and a Godson, Jordan Dupuis of Lewiston, ME. She is also survived by her much-loved nieces and nephews, Kathryn Reeney and her husband, Jonathan Reeney of Tyngsboro, Jeremy Curley of Dracut, Jessica Phinney and her husband, John Phinney of Dracut, Leslie (O'Brien) Scott of Sterling, VA, Joshua Curley of Dracut; her Goddaughter, Samantha Curley of Dracut, Mary Carmen Curley and Jack Curley, both of Andover, MA.

CURLEY -- Visiting hours on Saturday from 9 to 11 am at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD followed by her interment in St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Rd., Tewksbury, MA. Such sad news. Gail was a great person with a wonderful sense of humor. We worked second shift together at Saints; she made work fun, we had a lot of laughs. My deepest condolences to her family. She was a warm, happy, positive person; I'm glad to have known her.
