Gail Nichols Obituary

Lynchburg, VA

Gail Doyle Nichols of Lynchburg passed away on August 21st after a brief illness. She was 75 years old.

She was born in Lowell, MA on December 30, 1947 to John and Teresa Doyle. She was the oldest of seven children and was raised in the Belvidere section of the city. She graduated from the Immaculate Conception Grammar School and Lowell High School. She worked at Raytheon in Andover as well as Honeywell in Lowell as an administrative assistant before leaving to attend the University of Massachusetts where she earned a degree in Business Administration. Gail worked for a number of years with the American Glass Container Corp. before meeting her husband Thomas Nichols in Long Beach, CA. They were married at the Immaculate Conception Church in March of 1985. Tom passed away in 2019.

She is survived by her son Brian of St. George, UT and stepchildren Anne, Cathy and Tom Jr. She is also survived by her sisters Jacquelyn (Thomas) O'Hare of Jaffrey Center, NH, Maura (Mark)Englert of North Fort Myers, FL., Tricia (James) Norris of Warner Robbins, GA., and her brother Robert of Mason, NH. In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law Dorinda Doyle and brother-in-law Steven Creamer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother Stephen Doyle and her sister Tessa Creamer.
