Dear Lynne & Family,
I was so sorry to read about Gary's passing. I remember Gary coming into the law office in Fitchburg when he worked for Pitney Bowes and you worked on the same floor at William Reagan's. I have sent the newspaper clippings to my daughter, Alice, who now lives in N.C. She used to babysit for you. Neither she or my son David knew that Gary was the Townsend Santa on many Christmases. We will keep you and your children in our prayers.
My deepest sympathy, Alice Schofield & Family

To the Garafola family:
Yours is a family of abiding love and joy and deep mutual affection. Over the last ten years our family has seen the evidence of that well of love, particularly well expressed in the lives of your kids. While we are extraordinarily sad that Gary has left us all too soon, I'd like to think that Gary, if asked, would point to the quality of his family as his greatest accomplishment. That's a life well lived. Well done, Gary, and well done, Lynne.

Dear Lynn and Family, I was deeply saddened to hear of Gary's passing. I will always remember when Gary and I were salesmen for Pitney Bowes, (early 80's), driving around in a Volkswagen Rabbit wearing pinstripe suits.
Gary always led the way into a prospective customers offce as we would attempt to "hock" the famous Postage Meter. We were promptly asked to leave more often than not.
We had many laughs then as well as the times we crossed paths over the years in Townsend.
My deepest sympathy. "Johnny" Sweeny
