He was the beloved husband of Helen R. (Hawbolt) Nison.
He was born in Lowell, May 10, 1925, son of the late Bartholomew and Lena (Lyons) Nison. He attended Lowell schools.
Living in Lowell most of his life, he was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church.
Mr. Nison and his wife, Helen moved to Florida in 1990, and had settled in Inverness.
Before retiring, Mr. Nison was employed as a truck driver, and had worked throughout New England.
He held membership in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three grandchildren, Laura Callery of Wilton, N.H., Tanya Hohn, residing in New York, and Tyler Uebrick of Nashua; six grandchildren, William Lekas, Emily Lekas, Nicholas Lekas, Allyson Callery, Shannon Callery and Alexis Hohn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the father of Linda (Nison) Uebrick, who died in 1998, and brother of the late Frederick Nison, Helen Lamarre, Mary Garrigan and Ruth Evans.
