Gregory McDevitt Obituary

Gregory J. McDevitt formerly of Pelham, Nashua businessman; 37 NASHUA, NH Gregory J. McDevitt, 37, of Nashua, lost his life to an accidental drowning on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Nashua. Greg was born in Nashua on September 28, 1970, a son of William and Joyce (Angley) McDevitt of Pelham. He was the husband of Catherine (Lepine) McDevitt of Nashua. Mr. McDevitt was educated in Pelham schools, and received an undergraduate degree from NH College and a Master's Degree from Boston University. He was the owner of McDevitt Recruiting which provided recruiting and HR consulting services. Greg served time with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve as an enlisted Marine with Bravo Company 1/25 Marines in NH. Greg was a genuine, kind, caring and loving husband, father, and friend. He was always giving to others, especially his family. He was admired by all that had the pleasure of knowing him and everything about him will be missed, especially his sense of humor. Beloved son, and brother, and source of great joy to his many friends. Greg and his wife, Catherine are expecting their fourth child due in July. Besides his parents and his wife, Gregory is survived by two sons, Joshua McDevitt and Jake McDevitt, both of Nashua; one daughter, Julia McDevitt of Nashua; two brothers, Patrick McDevitt and his wife, Kristine of Belgium, and Christopher McDevitt and his wife, Alisha of Concord; four sisters, Theresa McDevitt of Derry, Jennifer Pendergast and her husband, William of Pelham, Rebecca Buxton and her husband, Dwayne of Arkansas, and Stefenie Cote and her husband, Kenneth of Pelham. Also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 17, 2008 from 2 to 5 P.M. in the ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. Services and burial will take place at the convenience of the family. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to benefit Greg's children be made to the Gregory McDevitt Memorial Fund c/o Digital Federal Credit Union, 257 Lowell Rd., Hudson, NH 03051.
