Harriet Alexandropoulos Obituary
of Tewksbury, was seamstress; 86
TEWKSBURY -- Mrs. Harriet (Leotsakos) Alexandropoulos, 86, passed away Friday, July 30th, at the Willow Manor Nursing Home.
Harriet was born February 15, 1924 in Mani, Greece, a daughter of the late John and Stathoula (Ismaelakis) Leotsakos. Wife to the late James Alexandropoulos.
Harriet came to the United States in 1951 settling in Cambridge with her family and later relocating to Lowell. She married her late husband, James Alexandropoulos in 1955, and shared 40 years together until his death in 1998.
Harriet was a seamstress for Jamppa Manufacturing in Lowell for over 20 years, and continued to sew as a hobby, and for her small business in her home. She also loved to garden.
She is survived by her son, George Alexandropoulos and his wife, Dorianne of Westford; a daughter, Athanasia Ruest and her husband, Robert J. of Londonderry, NH; three grandchildren, Ryana Ruest, Nicholas Alexandropoulos, and Gregory Alexandropoulos.
ALEXANDROPOULOS -- Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Tuesday from 10 am to 11:30 am. Her funeral will take place from the Funeral Home on Tuesday with a prayer service to be held at the Funeral Home at 11:30 am. Interment to follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. Funeral Directors, M.
