LOWELL, MA - Helen P. (McAllister) Loranger, 94, of Lowell, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2018 at D'Youville Senior Care. She was the beloved wife of Roland Loranger, who she called "Blondie" since the day he gave her a ride on his bike at 13 years of age.
Helen was born in Lowell, on September 22, 1924, a daughter of the late Mary (Wilkins) McAllister and the late William McAllister.
Helen instilled her love of animals in her 3 daughters as well as her love to painstakingly decorate her home especially for every holiday. Though often times reserved and quiet, she never failed to make those around her laugh with her sarcastic wit.
In addition to her husband, Helen will be survived by her three daughters, Carol E. Fabianek and her husband Jim of Westford, Janet M. Gagnon and her husband Thomas of Dracut, Patricia Jacobson and her husband Mark of Auburn, NH, her sister Doris Sullivan of Chelmsford, her six grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, and her 6 great-grandchildren.
Helen was predeceased by her brother William McAllister and her little black dog Velvet who meant the world to her.
LORANGER - Calling hours will be Saturday, November 10, from 9am- 11am Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Her Funeral Service will be at 11am held at the funeral home. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tewksbury, MA.
