James P. Flaherty Sr.

James P. Flaherty Sr. Retired Chelmsford Firefighter CHELMSFORD James P. Flaherty Sr., 70, a resident of Chelmsford for over 45 years, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Martha (Crane) Flaherty who survives him and resides in Chelmsford. He was born on October 13, 1938 in Somerville, a son of the late John and Doris (Rooney) Flaherty. He served in the United States Army Reserves. Prior to his retirement in 1993 he worked as a Firefighter for the Town of Chelmsford for 30 years. In addition to his loving wife he is survived by six children, James P. Flaherty Jr. and his wife Doreen of Harvard, John F. Flaherty and his wife Janice of Dunnellon, FL, Elizabeth A. Conrad of Nashua, NH, Kathryn Alesse and her husband Stephen of Arlington, Daniel J. Conrad and his wife Cherilyn of Tewksbury and James M. Conrad and his wife Kimberly of Dover, NH and 12 grandchildren, Jayk, Jade, Brittany, Jamie Lynn, Meghan, Brooke, Adam, Quinn, Julia, Matthew, Paige and Daniel. He also leaves 5 nieces and nephews. FLAHERTY James Flaherty, 70, of Chelmsford died on Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening from 4 to 8pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at the funeral home. Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Charity of One's Choice.
