after all this time, John Carroll remains a fixture in my heart. Even tho I was quite a bit older, he said "Call me John" when I called him Mr. Carroll. But I just couldn't. He was so dignified, so kind, such a comfort, that I could only call him John Carroll instead. His story will be told in my family for generations to come.

I cannot believe that John has been gone almost 10 years..I think of him often.
I have not to this day been able to find an attorney to recommend to my clients that measures up to his standards.

I have been lacking a personal attorney as well all these years, but feel that John is watching over us.

A spirit such as John's never just disappears but is always there if you just believe and ask him for direction.

Marguirita I hope and pray that you and your family have been able to move on from this tragedy. They say that time heals all wounds but for me personally the wound of his passing remains very deep.

God bless and keep all of you! You remain in my prayers.

What a shock!

I just learned of John's passing today when I called the office and talked to his paralegal.

I know I speak for myself and the many clients that were referred to John by our office, over the years, when I say

"WE HAVE LOST OUR GUARDIAN ANGEL"

Margarita: I cannot begin to imagine the depth of your familys sorrow upon loosing such a good man.

I personally feel a great loss since we both agreed on everything from doing what was right, legaly, ethically, and morally for the last 20 years.

His loss is one that I personally will never recover from. He was truly a great man.

To the Carroll Family, words are so hard to come by at times like this. John was a friend, business colleague, mentor, and yes my lawyer; the most important being friend. I met him in his Rivier teaching days, and then reconnected through work years later. I will always be grateful for John's friendship. I will always remember his kind ways, his quick wit, his willingness to help his friends, the love and adoration he had for his friends, and especially his family; and will always keep him in my heart. He helped me in so many ways, gave me so many laughs, he will always be missed. May God Bless John, and watch over his family at this very difficult time.

Dear Carroll Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We met John 10 years ago when we began our journey as a married couple. He was there for our first house purchase and guided us through our estate planning. He always had us bring our kids to the appointments and enjoyed holding our little ones as he directed the estate planning with one hand and held the babies with the other. I thought to myself " A lawyer and a babysitter.. how awesome you are hired for ever!!" He really loved his family more than anything and shared many stories about all of you. We will miss John's wit and we are thankful that he was a part of our lives. We will pray for you during this difficult time.

To Margarita, Joseph, Anna, James and Katherine,

John was one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met. We’d discuss (or debate) politics, economics, religion, sports, music etc. If you wanted to know what “the crowd” thought, you could ask most anyone. If you wanted a well-thought, interesting and, usually, original opinion you’d talk with John. He was a very deep thinker.

I’ll miss John very much -- and I’ll never forget him. I consider myself lucky to have known John and count him as a friend.
