John J. "Jack" Considine

TOWNSEND: John James ""Jack"" Considine, 92, passed away from his struggle with cancer late Friday evening, August 26, 2022 at his home in Townsend Massachusetts.

Born June 28, 1930 Jack was the first son born to the late John Patrick and Ruth M. (Jones) Considine. He grew up in Lowell and was a 1947 graduate of Keith Academy. Following his graduation from high school Jack went on to serve for four years in the United States Air Force. Following his honorable discharge from the armed forces, Jack continued his education at UMass Lowell and Northeastern University where he studied engineering.

Jack spent most of his professional career working for Honeywell-Bull as a mechanical design engineer before retiring in 1990.

Jack was a Westford resident for 40 years before moving to Townsend in 2003. He was an active member of St. John's Church as a parishioner, volunteer, Eucharistic Minister and for several years, with Fran, served as an acolyte at all the funerals held there.

His hobbies and interests included poetry, reading, music, woodworking and building rock walls.

For sixty four years, Jack was the beloved husband of Frances Marie (Daley) Considine; the cherished dad of Jack Considine and his wife, Tammy of Hudson, NH, Bill Considine and his wife, Kathy, Lauren Martin and her husband Gerry, Dan Considine, Tracey Dunville and her husband, Todd all of Townsend, Colleen Moran and her husband, Cory of Ashburnham and Chris Considine of Lunenburg;
Jack was a wonderful Papa to his 25 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
He leaves his brother Brian Considine of Chelmsford, his sister in law, Barbara Daley; Patti Daley in Chelmsford; his brother in law, John O'Brien and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Olivia Moran, and was the brother of the late Larry Considine, brother in law of the late Joe Daley, Pat Daley and Pegee O'Brien.

Friends and acquaintances are invited to say goodbye during visiting hours from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday August 31st at Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte 119) Townsend Center.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Thursday, September 1, 2022 at St. John's Church, 1 School Street, Townsend. Interment with military honors will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Townsend.
