John Troupe Obituary
John was born in Acton, MA on May 28, 1928, the eldest son of James and Maire (Bengston) Troupe. He attended Acton schools and went on to begin a long career in sales. In 1948 he met and married June, the love of his life and began a love story that would span over 64 years. The couple settled in Littleton and raised their family. John was an active member of the Littleton Congregational Church for many years. He was instrumental in raising funds for the building addition and always available to lend a hand to anyone who needed one.
John enjoyed his time on the golf course and was an avid Boston sports fan; especially the Patriots. John was one of the first Patriots season ticket holders. When Littleton High School started a Football program, John was the first President and co-founder of the booster club. He enjoyed summering at Wells Beach, ME but above all, family and spending time with his grandchildren was the center of John's life.
John is survived by his children; Brian and his wife Mary Beth Troupe of Bedford, NH, and David and his wife, Sandy of Casa Grande, AZ. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Pam Troupe-Jones and her husband, Kenny of High Point, NC, Chris Troupe and Susan Edwards of Maricopa, AZ, Amy Jane Maciel and her husband, Robert of Savannah, GA and Beth Troupe of Scituate. He is further survived by 5 great grandchildren; Daniel, Ashley Jill, Emma Ruby, Jayden and Xander. John also leaves behind his siblings; Judith Caldwell, Eudora Flerra, Carleton Troupe and Russell Troupe. Troupe Family and friends will gather to honor and remember John for a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday May 29, 2019 at the Congregational Church of Littleton, 330 King Street, Littleton. A luncheon and celebration of John's life will be held at the church hall immediately following the service. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Neighborhood Supper, 330 King Street, Littleton, MA 01460.

" Dad, my hero, my teacher, my friend. You set an impossible course in life to follow, as I have fallen short many times, but you were always there with an encouraging word. You taught me so many things and set a work ethic that was hard to match. Many times I am asked, how do you know how to fix that or build that, I tell them I held the flashlight for many years learning how from my Dad. My son also held the flashlight for me, and I hope he passes it on to his son. Just as Jesus is the light so is that beam from the silly flashlight. Dad you may have left the earth but you will never leave my memory of the greatest man i have ever known.

Grampy we will miss you so much. You were always there for your spiffer and your 2 angels. Though it makes us sad i can only picture Grammys face when you walked through the pearly gates to walk the beach together again to collect sand dollars with Grammy. You loved me like a son and I will always love you. Rest In Peace Grampy! Nubble light will always be a very special place where we will remember you and Grammy the most.

John was a very good man and very instrumental to the life of CCOL. He was always smiling and laughing. He had a true love of people and it was always a joy to talk to him. He will be missed by many. Rest in peace, John.

John was my friend and any that crossed his path in life was as well. He was the volunteer's volunteer. He cared for and helped all those in need, both with his Church family and his community. His spirit will live on and be an inspiration to all of us forever.

Watching the Patriots beat the Chargers out in San Diego was a memory I'll cherish forever. Summers in ME, walking the road up from the trailer you would stop to talk to EVERYONE...It was a place where everyone knew your name. I didn't get it as a little girl. But I began to see that everywhere we went everyone knew your name. I will try my best to spread the KINDNESS, smile, joy, and love you did to all I pass by. I'll miss you my lil' Whippersnapper.
