He was born in Boston, Dec. 14, 1943, son of the late Joseph Bukoiemski Sr. and Catherine (MacLeod) Bukoiemski. He graduated from Boston Trade High School. He later earned an associate's degree in engineering from Northeastern University.
He resided in Billerica for the past 35 years. Previously, he lived in Boston's Roxbury section.
Mr. Bukoiemski had served in the Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He was a self employed machinist for 40 years.
Mr. Bukoiemski had a lifelong passion for the ocean and boating.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph Bukoiemski III and Sandy Bukoiemski of Billerica, and Michael Bukoiemski of Cape Cod; his longtime companion, Joanne Sullivan of Waltham and her four daughters, Sharon, Laurie, Elizabeth and Tracy; a brother, Stanley Bukoiemski of Dedham; a sister, Maria Riley of Viera, Fla.; two grandchildren, Joseph IV and Maria Bukoiemski; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Carol Mills of Billerica.
