formerly of Tewksbury
DENNISPORT -- Joseph M. "Joe" Lazzara 73, of Dennisport, and formerly of Tewksbury and Norwood, Thursday August 17. Son of the late Etori "Edward" and Josephine (Giannone) Lazzara. Devoted father of Suzanne Ceruti and her husband Dennis of Upton, Rachele Lazzara and her husband Massimo Curtotti of Medicina, Italy, Karen Lazzara and her fiance Richard Morning of Lowell, and Denise Lazzara of Fitchburg. Cherished grandfather of Josephine, Allison, Maria, and Antonia Ceruti, Chiara and Alessia Curtotti, Jocelyn and Constance Morning, and the late Kaleb Morning. Loving brother of Constance McTernan, Anthony, Edward, Charles, and James Lazzara, Marie Colella, and the late Margaret Lazzara-Cookman, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Lazzara was a U.S. NAVY, Vietnam War Veteran, and was the Proprietor of First Bancorp Mortgage.
LAZZARA -- Visiting hours will be held from 10 - 12, on Wednesday August 23, in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD, followed by a funeral service at 12 Noon. Interment Private. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Joseph's memory to the Margaret Lazzara-Cookman Norwood High School Memorial Scholarship Fund, PO Box 112, Norwood MA 02062.

My condolences to Marie and all the rest of the Lazzara family. So sorry for your loss.
Here is a childhood picture of Margaret & Marie with my sister in the autumn leaves on Garfield Avenue. We don't have any of Joe, sorry about that.

Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember Joe as a fascinating big teenager when James and I were headed off to kindergarten. He and the other older Lazzara brothers got such a kick out of teaching James to sing Wella Wella Bing Bang! I see in the picture that he kept that smile.
