Lewis Zaher Obituary

Lewis Zaher lifelong Chelmsford resident, WWII vet; 87 CHELMSF0RD Lewis Zaher, 87, a lifelong resident of Chelmsford, died on Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of Madeline T. (McPhillips) Zaher. He was born in Lowell, on Jan. 17, 1920, the son of the late George and Romia (Halahey) Zaher. Mr. Zaher was a United States Army Veteran of WWII. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Zaher was the Head of Maintance at Computer Vision Inc. in Bedford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian L. and Linda Zaher, and David C. and Karen Zaher, all of Chelmsford; two sisters, Helen Holt of Westford, and Evaline McPhillips of Chelmsford, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Nicholas Zaher of Westford, Medrick and Joan Zaher, and Charles and Claudia Zaher, all of Chelmsford. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Christopher, Melissa, Shannon, Brian and Kim Zaher, Brian and Michael Horan, and Christian and Travis Bly; 13 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Zaher of Arizona. Mr. Zaher was also the father of the late Robert Zaher and Carol Wells Bly. He was also the brother of the late George, Michael, John, Margaret, Helena. ZAHER Lewis Zaher, 87, a lifelong resident of Chelmsford, died on Saturday, August 25, 2007, at the Lowell General Hospital. Visiting hours will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford, on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11 o'clock, friends are invited. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Lowell. Expressions of sympathies may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Dear Betty and Family,
I am very sorry that I was unable to attend Louie's funeral.
