Longtime resident of Westford; 92

WESTFORD -- Lillian Marie Patricia Catherine Gannon Blakely, passed away peacefully at Heritage Nursing care center in Lowell on December 29, 2014, at age 92. She was a longtime resident of Westford, MA, and was employed at the Bedford Veterans Hospital for many years.

Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Gannon and Helen Delahanty Gannon, sister of the late Marion (Gannon) Flanders, and grandmother of the late Kevin R. Trott. She was married to the late Robert Blakely, who died in 2003.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Trott of Westford; three grandchildren, Kenneth Jr. and his wife, Eileen Trott, Keith and his wife, Sharon Trott of Hudson NH, and Kerri Trott Gale and her husband, Kevin Gale of Westford; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Lowell and will be remembered for devoting her life to her family.

Lillian spent most summers at her home on Newfound Lake in NH, where she was known and loved by many friends. She was known for her love of animals, was an avid gardener, and enjoyed swimming in Newfound Lake. She was a renowned breeder of Boston Terriers; having two of her own: Buttons and Muffin.

BLAKELY -- A mass of remembrance will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Saint Mary Magdalen's Church, 95 Lakeview Ave, Tyngsboro, MA.
