Margaret E. Broderick

Margaret E. Broderick former longtime Lowell resident; 85 Hudson, NH Margaret E. "Peg" (Kelley) Broderick, age 85, a resident of Hudson, NH, and former longtime Lowell resident, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, died Saturday August 9th at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH. She was the beloved wife of Joseph F. Broderick to whom she was married for 61 years. She was born in Boston on March 15, 1923, and was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Gilligan) Kelley. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Grammar School in Lowell, Lowell High School, and Lowell Commercial College. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Broderick was employed for 30 years as a sales associate by the former Bon Marche in Lowell and continued to work there when it became Jordan Marsh. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Karen and Christoph Rothschild, two grandchildren Christoph Rothschild and Arianna Rothschild; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was also the mother of the late Anne Marie Broderick-Doyle who died in 2005, and the sister of the late Fr. Thomas Kelley, OMI, John Kelley, and Mary Lambert.
