Marie V. Clermont

Marie V. Clermont of Dracut, formerly of Clinton; 73 Dracut Marie V. (Regan) Clermont, 73, of Dracut, but formerly of Clinton, died after a lenghty illness with her loving family by her side, Saturday morning, February 9, 2008 at D'Youville Senior Care Center. He was the loving wife of 49 years of Maurice P. Clermont. Born in Lowell, June 6, 1934 the daughter of the late Paul E. and the late Mary (Goulding) Regan, she attended St. Margaret's Grammar School and a graduate of Lowell High School . She then graduated from the St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1955. Marie spent the biggest portion of her nursing career at Leominster Hospital (now Health Alliance). She was known for her gentle manner and compassionate care-giving. She served as one of the Nursing Directors. Before retiring in 1995, she spent several years as a patient advocate representative. Marie was a loving and devoted mother, she reveled in the accomplishments of her two sons as football captains of their high school and college teams. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriot Fan. Marie was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Dracut. Besides her loving and devoted husband, she is survived by a son Christopher Clermont and his wife Mary of Franklin, MA; two grandsons Corey Clermont and Ryan Clermont; a granddaughter Nicolle Clermont; a sister Sarah "Sally" Slattery and her husband Edward of Hampton, NH; two brothers Mark J. Regan and his wife Rhonda of Lowell and Michael P. Regan and his wife Thelma of Wellington, ME; many nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews. She will also be greatly missed by her sisters-in-law Yvette Mayrand and her husband Robert of Lowell and Aline Clermont of Dracut and an aunt Ann King of Nashua, NH. Her life- long caring and devoted friends Ann and Bob Barrett of Lowell. She was the mother of the late Matthew Clermont; sister of the late Philip Regan, Paul E."Bubby" Regan, Jr. and Francis X. Her Funeral will take place from the funeral home Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock followed by a Funeral Mass at ST. FRANCIS of ASSISI CHURCH in Dracut at 9 o'clock. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
