WESTFORD - Marie Christine (DiFiore) (Lawrence) Hayward passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022. She was born September 3, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY to Sylvester and Celestine (DeFina) Di Fiore. Marie graduated from St. Joseph's Commercial High School in 1953. A former resident of Westford, she was a communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church. Marie most recently worked for more than 15 years as the site meal manager at Cameron Senior Center in Westford. She was a wonderful cook, she loved to read, garden, sew and she enjoyed watching the Red Sox. Marie loved being with her family most of all.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband Alfred T. Lawrence. They were married for 39 years. Marie is survived by her daughter Linda Berube and her husband Stephen, her daughter Susan Brunsen and her husband Kenneth, and her son Steven and his wife Nancy.

Marie is survived by her cherished grandchildren – Dennis Berube, Eric Berube, Stephanie Crosby and her husband Kevin, and Michael Lawrence. Marie is also survived by her step-grandchildren Nicole Hall and her husband Brian and David Brough and his wife Tracy.

Marie is survived by her precious great-grandchildren Colton and Adlie Crosby.

Marie is survived by her sisters Celeste DiFiore and Andrea LaManno, her husband Fred, and her niece Vicky Coyle and her husband Pat. Marie is predeceased by her sister Julie Rikert.

Marie is predeceased by her second husband Bud Hayward. Marie is survived by her step-daughters Deb Warwick and her husband Ted and Kelley Holston and her husband Michael. Another step-daughter Karen Shry recently predeceased Marie.

Marie had many relatives and friends from Brooklyn, Lowell, Chelmsford, Westford and beyond. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she loved them.

Marie's family wishes to extend their appreciation to Norma Jean Palermo, who was Marie's caregiver in recent years and to the staff at Apple Valley Center in Ayer for the comfort and care they provided to Marie.

Relatives and friends are invited to Marie's visitation on Sunday, June 26, from 2 until 6 PM at the Westford Healy Funeral Home, 57 North Main Street, Westford. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10 AM in St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, Westford. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Westford.
