Marie O'Connor Obituary
Mrs. O'Connor raised her family in Beverly and Danvers prior to settling in Florida several years ago.
She is a proud graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Tyngsboro in 1948 and Lowell Teachers College (now UMASS Lowell) in 1952. She began teaching on the North Shore at the former Maple Street Elementary School in Danvers. After taking time off to raise her 5 children, she returned to teaching at St Mary's of the Annunciation School in Danvers where she spent several years teaching first grade. She was an active member in the Catholic Church who attended daily Mass, volunteered, and supported financial efforts at both St. Mary's in Danvers and St. Jude's in Tequesta, FL.
Marie was predeceased by her husband Richard T. O'Connor, her parents Cornelius Sr. and Kathleen Collins, her brothers and their spouses: Cornelius Jr and Agnes Collins of Hampton Beach, NH, Bill and Pat Collins of Lowell, MA, as well as, her nephew Cornelius Collins III and niece Marianne Collins.
She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses: Kathleen and Keith Miller of Danvers, Paul and Sandra O'Connor of Salisbury, Joe and Charlotte O'Connor of Danvers, Bill and Ann O'Connor of Topsfield and Richard and Maureen O'Connor of Georgetown. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren: Mary, Meghan, Dan, Kevin, Caroline, Shannon, Will, Jeff, Katherine, Margaret, Grace, Colleen and Sarah Jane, as well as, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom she cared deeply for.
Visitation hours will be on Sunday, June 27 from 3-6pm at the Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St. (Rte. 114) in Middleton, Mass. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 28 at 9am at St. Mary's of the Annunciation Church located at 24 Conant St., Danvers, MA.

I´m so sorry to hear this news! Mrs. O´Connor was such a lovely, kind and funny woman. I have such fond memories of her when I was a school mate of Bubba´s. And when I would see her in more recent years, mostly at St Mary´s Church, it was always great to catch up. My deepest sympathy to the whole O´Connor clan.
