Marjorie (Nolan) MacShane
Loving mother, sister, and aunt

LOWELL -- Marjorie I. (Nolan) MacShane, of Lowell, died November 27, 2017, at Lowell General Hospital, her loving family at her side, aged 87 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. MacShane, with whom she had celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Born in Lowell, February 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Albert and Marjorie (Neville) Nolan. She received her early education in the Lowell school system and graduated from the Lowell Vocational School with the Class of 1948. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Walker Rogers VFW Post 662 for many years.

A doting stay-at-home mom, Marjorie took great pride in caring for her family. While she loved every holiday, the Christmas season was her favorite time of year. She also enjoyed spending summer vacations at Old Orchard Beach, and an occasional day trip to York. In her later years, she often traveled to Canada and Florida to visit relatives.

A kind, generous woman, Marjorie will always be remembered for her love and devotion to family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth A. MacShane and his wife Leslie of Dracut, a sister, Lillian Horton and her husband Eugene of Vero Beach, FL, two sisters-in-law, Virginia Nolan of Londonderry, NH, and Marie Nolan of Tewksbury, and several nieces and nephews.
