Mary "Betty" Collins

Mary 'Betty' Collins of Littleton, active at St. Anne Church; 64 LITTLETON Mary "Betty" (Walsh) Collins, 64, of Littleton, died on July 3, at Emerson Hospital, in Concord. She was born in Ayer, on October 5, 1943. She is the daughter of Mary (Begley) Walsh of West Groton and the late John Walsh. She grew up in Groton, and was a graduate of Groton High School, and Burdett Secretarial School. Mary worked as a secretary for the Civil Defense Dept., before her marriage in 1964. She has lived in Littleton since 1966. Betty later worked as a secretary for the Board of Appeals in both Littleton and Acton, and most recently worked as a home health aide for TLC of Framingham. Betty was an active communicant of St. Anne's Church in Littleton, where she was a member of St. Anne's Sodality, and a CCD teacher. She also was a volunteer for the Council of Aging. She enjoyed spending her spare time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Betty Collins is survived by her mother, Mary (Begley) Walsh of W. Groton; her husband, Timothy Collins, of Littleton; six children, Timothy Collins of Stow, Sean Collins of Bolton, Brendan Collins of Wenham, Denis Collins of W. Roxbury, Maura Pavao of Acton, and Edward Collins of Littleton, a brother, John Walsh of Groton; and 12 grandchildren. COLLINS A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church of Littleton on Wednesday at 11 a.m., Visiting hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Burial at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton.
