Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Boule Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,

Dear Leo and Suellen,
My sister, Eileen, worked with you at the USPS and I remember the sadness we all felt when Matthew died. She now lives on your street and every time (almost daily) that I pass your home, I think of you and of your family and especially of Matthew and the sacrifice he made to protect all of us. I thought of him last week on what would have been his 30th birthday. I just wanted you to know that people---even people like myself whom you never really knew---still keep Matthew and you in our thoughts and prayers.

”Honor and Remember” - “Project Compassion” We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families of our fallen heroes. War does not discriminate – It breaks our hearts to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to the hero’s Mother, Father and/or spouse. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Almost 2,000 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
This is a gift! We have wonderful sponsors who help with the costs, and want you know that everyone here at Project Compassion does and will always CARE.
Contact us directly at [email protected] or go to www.heropaintings.com . If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
Sincerely and Respectfully,

Please know that just as your loved one will forever remain in your hearts and minds, his sacrifice and that of your family, will remain with the people he died defending. “I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

Hello:
You do not know me but I left a tribute for your family member at an earlier date. The reason for my note is to let you know of a group of people who are willing to do portraits of fallen soldiers in wood free of charge. If your family is interested you can visit their website at [email protected].
com. I became aware of this site when I tried to do something special for my son's best friend's mother (my son's best friend was KIA 7/6/07, he was 18). Some of you may have already had this done but for those who did not and would like to, please contact them they are wonderful people.
God bless you and I am so sorry for your loss. Your HERO will never be forgotten.

Mat, you probably never thought that you would be sooo popular. I did an internet search of your name and got 8 pages of hits. If this person can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his/her family to honor him/her. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guest book for the rest of my life, but I promised Le Ron A. Wilson (a dear friend KIA 7/6/07, 18yrs old) that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Mr. and Mrs. Boule and Family,
I wrote to you earlier but wanted to add about my nephew Wayne C. Allen of Tewksbury. He too was an Army (helicopter) crew chief. At age 20, during the Vietnam conflict he was due home January 20, 1970 but collided into a mountain due to weather conditions on January 10th. My aunt, Florence, was notified he was MIA, then POW but in 1990, his remains were discovered and returned home. At this time she was told it was likely he was killed at the collision. She has asked me to extend her condolences to you in the loss of your courageous son, Mathew.
Sincerely,

The Boule Family and Friends,
I would like to extend my deepest sympathies for the loss of one of America's heroes. I know it is a difficult time for all of you but I hope you can gain strength from all of those who are thinking of you and are thankful to your son. It takes a brave soul to enlist in the armed forces, so although I did not know Mathew I bet I know how wonderful a person he must have been. I understand the pain and sorrow you all are feeling, since I too lost my 20 year old brother LCPL. Peter Orlando in July 2002. We all miss our soldiers very much and are eternally grateful for their bravery, strength and determination to protect our country and our future.

Mathew....
Thank You for serving OUR Country! Below is Poem for Soldier.... My condolences go out to the Boule family.
God's Garden....
God looked around His garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered "Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Boule,
I am extremely sorry for your loss. I am so fortunate to have known your wonderful son. Mat was always so free spiritted, and loved life to the fullest. He always gave me his all, and made sure that I knew how much he cared about me. I'm so glad I was able to have met him, and spent time with him. He was a wonderful friend and I know that he loved his family with all his heart. He talked about you all, all the time. I will always remember Mat as the fun-loving guy he always was. Once again, I'm sorry. Mat will never be forgotten in my heart!

To the Boule Family,
My thoughts and prayers have been with you and your family since the day we heard of your loss. Know that your son died an American Hero and that we will be eternally grateful for his service to our country. I write this to your family knowing first hand your heartache and sorrow and most of all your enduring pain of waiting for your loved one to be returned to Dracut, MA. I too lost my 20 year old brother, LCPL Peter Orlando on July 20, 2002 while he proudly served as a United States Marine. Your grief is raw, your heartache is endless but always stand proud with your heads held high that your son will forever be a HERO! May God Bless you all during these very difficult days.
