He was born in Malden on Sept. 25, 1937, a son of the late John and Doris (Kingston) Enwright. He received his education in the Malden school system.
An honorably discharged veteran, Mr. Enwright served in the Army during peacetime. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years, prior to his disability.
Mr. Enwright was a member of the Tewksbury Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
He is survived by a daughter, Colleen Enwright of Dracut; four sons, James Enwright and his wife Betty, Patrick and John Enwright, all of Dracut, and Edward Enwright of San Diego; 10 grandchildren, Jenna, Robert, Paige, Alexis, Travis, Ashley, Allyssa, Krystal, Brandon, and Matthew. He also leaves three special family friends, Theresa, John, and Roger Guthrie, all of Tyngsboro; a brother and three sisters-in-law, Daniel and Pat Enwright of Westford, Gladys Enwright of Chelmsford, and Marilyn Enwright of Lowell; five sisters and their husbands, Noni and John Ryan of Malden, Doris and Roy Smith of Melrose, Evey and Reed Haley of Melrose, Helen and Monty Smith of Chelmsford, and Delia and Donald Strobel of Andover; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the father of Michael Enwright Jr., who died in 1969, and the brother of the late Mary Agnes Sprowl and John and Thomas Enwright.

My deepest condolences to the entire Enwright family.....I know I am not alone when I say that pops was an insiration to all of us to live life to the fullest and make it your own. He certainly lived life!
He will be sadly missed. His sashay will not soon be forgotten....
