Michael Maille Obituary

DRACUT

Michael R. Maille, age 64 of Dracut, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021. He was the husband of the late JoAnn T. (Hall) Maille and son to the late Raymond H. and Margaret A. (Gibson) Maille.

Michael was born on June 23, 1956 in Lowell and was raised in Dracut. He attended Dracut Public Schools and Bishop Guertin High School for a brief period during high school, before transferring back into Dracut, he graduated from Dracut High School in 1974. Upon graduating high school, Michael joined the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War, he was stationed in Kansas and then served for many years in the Armed National Guard. He attended the University of Massachusetts- Lowell and attained his Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, he later continued his education and became a registered nurse. He worked at many local facilities, last being Bridgewater State Hospital. When Michael was not busy working, he could be found tending to his gardens, watching lots of movies and collecting Scotch. Whenever he could, Michael would take off to the Berkshires and was also a member of the American Legion. Michael's hard work, generosity and storytelling will be cherished and missed by many.

Michael is survived by his son, Bradford Maille and his fiancé Jillian of Dracut, his daughter, Jessica Maille and partner Josh of Pelham, NH, his sister, Mary Palen, his mother-in-law, Doris Hall, his brother-in-laws, Denis Hall and Kevin Hall and his wife Donna Eve, and his four-legged best friend, Radagast the Brown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Michael is predeceased by his father-in-law, Clifford Hall and brother-in-law, Joseph Janvier.

Services for Michael will be private, at his request.

Services for Michael have been entrusted to the care of DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. Funeral director Paul A. Hardy, Jr.

Hey Mike, sorry we didn't get together for so many years. You were your own man; stories galore! I've been thinking of our adventures way back when with the group we all hung out with. Even though we didn't see each other for decades, I will miss you my friend, you were one of a kind!
