She was born in Nashua on Jan. 14, 1941, a daughter of the late James W. and Shirley Eloise (Holt) Lillis. She attended Pepperell schools.
For most of her life, Mrs. Trites was a hairstylist at several local shops. She also worked at McNabb's General Store in Pepperell.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening and working in her yard.
In addition to her husband of 33 years, she is survived by a son, William G. Giguere of Townsend; a daughter, Eloise J. Adams of Pepperell; two brothers, Daniel R. Lillis of Pepperell and Dennis J. Lillis of Los Gatos, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Amy and Katie Blood, Michael Adams, and Corey, Jacob, Kelley and Gregory Giguere; and a great-grandchild, James Dobson.
She was also the great-grandmother of the late Madisyn Blood.
