Norman R. Trudeau

1933 - 2022

Norman Trudeau, 89, of Bedford, NH, died peacefully on 14 Sept 2022. He was born 22 Jan 1933 to Louis and Hélène Trudeau in Barre, Vt. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army. In 1957 he married Claire (Moulton) Trudeau. Norm attended Northeastern Univ., receiving his BA in physics in 1962 and his MS in electro-optics in 1968. He was a manager in R&D of electro-optics at Kollsman in Merrimack, NH for 19 years. He was Scout Master for Tewksbury Troop 49, and a communicant of St. William's Church and Our Lady of Mercy in Merrimack, NH. In retirement he counseled NH small business owners for SCORE and helped the elderly prepare their taxes. Norm was happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren and was active and resourceful to the end. He is survived by his children Susanne, Juliette, Jennifer, and William Trudeau & wife JoLynn, 13 grandchildren, and his devoted companion Anita Turner. He is predeceased by sons Steven, Douglas and Thomas.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, Sept. 30th, from 4-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. His funeral procession will begin on Saturday, Oct. 1st, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William's Church 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment of his ashes will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Boy Scout Troop 49 and mailed to St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury, MA 01876. For obituary see www.farmeranddee.com
