Patricia Nicholson Obituary
Patricia E. (Espinola) Nicholson, age 80, passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Nelson Nicholson who passed away in 1982 and life partner of the late Joe Nutter who passed away in 2017.
Pat was born in Lowell on July 8, 1941, the daughter of the late Manuel and Rose (Espinola) Espinola. She was a lifelong resident of Lowell.
Pat was employed as a certified public accountant for over 40 years. She retired from Brian D. Goguen PC where she worked for 30 years. She enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles and had a great love for animals.
She is survived by her two step-daughters, Lisa Nicholson and her husband Tom Totten of Oxnard, CA and Chris Fraser and her wife Kate Walsh of Haverhill, MA. She was the step-mother of the late Tony Nicholson who died in 1994 and survived by his wife, Audrey Nicholson of Wilmington, MA; her grandchildren, Danny Fraser and Katie Fraser both of Nashua, NH, Torey Nicholson and his wife Kendall Covitz Nicholson of Matthews, NC, Aja Whitaker and her husband Ryan Whitaker from Andover, MA and Crosby Nicholson and his fiancé Bethi Ledoux from Westborough, MA and the late Zachary Totten; her cat Kitty Kitty; also many dear friends.
Our family would like to thank the staff and friends at the Saab Residence for the great care given to her during her final years.
Arrangements
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Patricia's life at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Tuesday, Feb. 8 from 4 to 7pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at St. Rita Church, Lowell. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the The D'Youville Foundation in honor of Arthur Goodrich for his dedicated service to the residents of Saab Residence 981 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
