Paul Laforge Obituary

Paul W. Laforge was Tyngsboro Booster Club president; 76 TYNGSBORO Paul W. Laforge, 76, a longtime resident of Tyngsboro, died Thursday, November 29th, at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Helen G. (Timmins) Laforge, with whom he celebrated his 53rd anniversary on November 26th. He was born in Lowell on October 23, 1931, and he was the son of the late Elphege and Marie (Ducharme) Laforge. He received his education in Lowell schools, and was a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1950. An honorably discharged veteran, Mr. Laforge served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Office Environment. He loved all sports, and was president of the Tyngsboro High School Booster Club for 10 years. He was inducted into the Tyngsboro High School Hall of Fame in 2004. Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons, Stephen Laforge of Merrimack, NH, Daniel Laforge of Cypress, Texas, Brian Laforge and his wife, Jodie of Tyngsboro, Edward Laforge and his wife, Karen of Tyngsboro, and Paul Laforge and his wife, Lori of Nashua, NH; four daughters, Cheryl Laforge of Tyngsboro, Audrey Laforge and her husband, Francis Leazes of Providence, RI, Martha and her husband, Michael Howes of Hudson, NH, and Elizabeth Laforge and her companion, Steven Hayden of Las Vegas, NV; 21 grandchildren, Michael, Marc, and Candace Howes, Timothy, and Shailagh Garvey, Dylan and Abbie Leazes, Hunter and Chase Hayden, Erik, Justin, and Cody Laforge, Jason, and David Laforge, Jake, and Kyle Laforge, Cambria and Jeffrey Laforge, and Amber, Sydney, and Morgan, Laforge; five great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Hayden, and Michael Howes, and Lucas and Logan Garvey; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Rita Demers, Philip Laforge, George Laforge, Raymond Laforge, and Ernest Laforge. Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, on Monday from 3 until 7 PM. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday at 8 A.M., followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9 A.M. at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Tyngsboro. Interment in Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Paul W.
