Philip T. McGowan, Sr. owned/operated Nashua auto dealership; 67 MEREDITH, NH Philip T. McGowan, Sr., 67, of Meredith, NH, and longtime resident of Nashua, died Wednesday, April, 23, 2008, at the Lakes Region General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 24, 1940, in Lawrence, MA, son of the late Philip J. and Alice B. (Connor) McGowan. Philip was the loving husband of Leslie Joyce (Carlton) McGowan of Meredith, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage. Most of his career was spent in the automotive industry, including owning and operating McGowan Auto Sales in Nashua, and as a consultant for various auto dealers throughout the country. He was in the United States Air Force Reserves. He was also a member of the Wedeln Ski Club, Chelmsford Exchange Club, American Legion, and Lowell Elks Club. Besides his dear wife, survivors include his children, Philip T. McGowan, Jr. and his fiancée, Belinda Rooney, both of Dublin, Ireland, Brian J. and Jenny (St. Clair) McGowan of Nashua; a daughter and a son-in-law, Lisa (McGowan) and David Kasparian of Boston, MA. He is also survived by his three precious grandchildren, Ave Jean Kasparian and Ella Joyce Kasparian of Boston, and Connor Joseph McGowan of Nashua; two aunts, Rita E. McGowan and Lucille B.
